Winter/Spring: February 2nd - May 18th, 2008

Winter/Spring Murder Mystery Schedule

Murder Mystery train departs at: 5:00 PM and includes gourmet dinner, classic "who dunnit" murder mystery and train ride.
Scheduled dates:

*Please note that the 3:30 pm departure is available daily through the summer, except from August 18th - October 12th when it is only available on Saturdays.

Ride The Historic Rails Through the Royal Gorge

The Royal Gorge Route Railroad offers the best experience of the Royal Gorge on a breathtaking, 2-hour scenic and historic train ride on the most famous portion of the former Denver & Rio Grande Western train line.

Choose from five classes of service: Coach Class with comfortable seats & big windows to take in the spectacular views. Vista Dome features comfortable seats in a classic 1950's glass topped dome car. Gourmet lunch features a delicious 3-course meal on every 12:30 departure. Choose from seasonal menu items. Includes salad & dessert. New for 2008 is the addition of Wine Express where we feature a flight of four wines paired with a selection of delicious appetizers created by our executive chef (available on 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM departures, beginning May 2nd). Dinner Trains feature a 4-course gourmet dinner beginning with an appetizer, spring greens, an entree choice of fresh salmon or prime rib, and dessert.

Murder Mystery Trains include the 4-course gourmet dining experience along with a classic "who dunnit" murder mystery. All passengers have access to one of our open-air observation cars for the best views of the Royal Gorge. Reservations are recommended by calling 1.888.RAILS.4U or by making an online reservation now. To find the train depot, turn south on 3rd Street from Highway 50 in Canon City. This will bring you to the historic Santa Fe Depot and the Gateway to the Royal Gorge.

Wine Dinner Trains - We've added a Winemaker's dinner during each month of June through October where we'll offer award winning wines from around the world paired with delicious entrees prepared by our executive Chef. Dinner will consist of five courses paired with different varietals.
